This is a pre-op education class for patients scheduled for or who are planning to have total shoulder replacement surgery, reverse total shoulder replacement surgery, or rotator cuff repair surgery at Hoag Orthopedic Institute. Patient should bring support person, please enroll (Add Enrollee) when confirming registration.
This class will give provide additional information about:
- How to prepare for your total shoulder replacement surgery, reverse total shoulder replacement surgery or rotator cuff repair surgery.
- What to expect in the hospital or surgery center
- How to manage the brace you will wear after surgery
- How to care for yourself after surgery
Please share this online class link with a friend or family member that will be assisting you after total shoulder replacement surgery, reverse total shoulder replacement surgery or rotator cuff repair surgery so they will also know how to best assist. Same-day surgery patients that are discharged will be instructed to have an adult stay with them for the first 24 hours after surgery.
Classes are the 1st and 3rd Wednesday 1:00-3:00pm located at Grace Hoag building behind Hoag Hospital Irvine.
